Ms. Buckley has been librarian-teaching for sixteen years at McCluer High School. She has her teaching degree in English and additional certificates in both Writing and Library Science. She has her Master's in Library Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has been a rabid reader for as long as she can remember and has enjoyed an equal appetite for writing.
A few of the most influential titles in her life include Little House in the Big Woods by Laura Ingalls Wilder, The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank, Beloved by Toni Morrison, The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood, Pilgrim at Tinker Creek by Annie Dillard, Sophie's World by Jostein Gaarder, The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chobosky, The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams and hundreds more!
Her favorite poets are Emily Dickinson, James Wright, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Sylvia Plath, Christina Rossetti, Gary Snyder and on and on...
Ms. Buckley is an avid music listener and has a CD collection of over 3,000.
Her iPod is a prized possession and she has recently started collecting records again. She listens to everything from Joni Mitchell to Garbage, from Marvin Gaye to Outkast, from The Byrds to Coldplay. A few of her recent favorites are Ghostland Observatory, The Heavy, Candie Payne, The Kills and Mew.
She is totally obsessed with Johnny Depp.
